Situated in front of the waterfront marina, the new Marriott Hotel at Prince Arthur’s Landing is hot off the heels of the community’s revitalization of Thunder Bay’s downtown waterfront. mackaywong has been retained to design guestrooms located in the 8-story tower, as well as a new food and beverage concept which showcases Prince Arthur’s Landing stunning waterfront property. Acting as a gathering place for hotel guests and the local community, our concept draws inspiration from the water and the “Sleeping Giant” monolithic landmark along the waterfront. Focussing on an authentic use of materials, natural textures, and hand crafted details, both the décor and food/beverage offerings speak to the notion of local craft. We have developed a space that will captivate guests imagination and will create a reputation among guests as “the place” to socialize.
