As part of an overall guest experience strategy for the Air Canada Centre (now Scotiabank Arena), mackaywong worked in collaboration with architectural firm RevelHouse to inspire our beloved Toronto Maple Leafs to success with a dramatic environmental wall installation, as they celebrated their 100th year.
Located across the Maple Leafs dressing room, the bleeding blue installation serves as motivation, inspiration, and a reminder for the Team of the legacy they represent and carry on, as they hit the ice each game to fight for the Stanley Cup. Embodying layers of franchise history and meaning, the installation authentically illustrates the names of every player and coach who has ever won the Stanley Cup since 1918. Emulating the city’s passion, a dramatic blue light bleeds through the edges of the installation and washes the Team’s iconic logo and the inspiring motto they live by: “Honour, Pride, Courage”.
The installation went live on Opening Night, receiving great response from the Team and Organization, leading to a Home Opener victory.
