mackaywong was approached by Canadian Niagara Hotels Inc., the owners of multiple hospitality developments and establishments in the vibrant Niagara Falls entertainment district. Their request was to reposition and establish a captivating destination restaurant to replace the existing dining experience and its kitchen, as well as the adjacent retail space and hallway, encompassing a total area of 7300 square feet.
Elevated to the focal point of the casino property’s lobby, Jamesons restaurant draws inspiration from the spirited era of the roaring 20s while embracing a modern interpretation. Seamlessly integrating with the existing Belle Epoque casino interior, Jameson’s stands out while harmonizing with its surroundings, utilizing much of the existing architecture of the space, thus optimizing both the project timeline and budget.
To cater to a diverse clientele and all-day meal service, the space is thoughtfully divided into distinct zones: from the inviting Galleria,, the refined Dining area, the lively Bar, to the the relaxed Lounge. A substantial two-sided back bar serves as the centerpiece, adorned with lush tropical greenery and a selection of beer and liquor artifacts. The restaurant’s perimeter walls are adorned with captivating fern graphics, complemented by a striking green ceiling and eye-catching street-style art deco murals, creating a distinct ambiance in both the bar and dining areas. Oversized shades and elegant globe fixtures add a touch of sophistication and scale to the overall design aesthetic. Welcome to the new-age roaring 20’s.
