More than a gaming facility, Cascades Casino Kamloops is a destination and hub for the citizens of Kamloops B.C., re-imagining the landscape of “Beautiful British Columbia” through a series of inventive details. One of these details is the high-end restaurant Atlas Steak + Fish. Atlas Steak + Fish offers guests a high end dining experience and personifies the natural concept permeating the property.

Land marking the entry to Atlas is a large fire wall, flanked by glazing tinted to mimic the sunset sky and a molded panel wall that evokes water currents.

Elements of fire, water, stars, and sky are taken as inspirational cues and are artfully composed to create a rich, dramatic, and multi-layered dining experience.

A dramatic 19 foot ceiling is illuminated with 1300 individually suspended crystal droplets glittering like the night sky against a draped fabric backdrop.

The open kitchen further animates the theatrical nature of the dining room with the spectacle of food preparation on display.

A custom carpet grounds the space with stylistic references drawn from the interplay of land and sea and light and shadow in a bird’s eye view of earth.

The private dining room offers guests a memorable intimate setting, where they will get immersed in the forest-inspired finishes and details. The organic custom feature above the dining table anchors the space as a focal point, providing a sense of scale and grandeur.

Atlas Steak + Fish’s identity invokes the concept’s inspiration and draws on the notions of sky, land and sea. Dynamic lines representing constellations form mountains and fish, which are melded by the name, all exemplifying the spirit of the rich British Columbian landscape.
A striking custom wine cooler with gently curved shelving, reminiscent of the rolling foothills of B.C’s wine region, is a feature in the dining room while the use of natural stone and wood throughout contrasted by a bold colour palette exemplify the beauty and drama of nature.
