The multi-million dollar renovation taking place at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and Conference Centre is beginning to take shape and is expected to be Kelowna’s newest hotspot once it is completed.
The new restaurant and wine bar is well underway at the hotel and artist renderings have finally been released. The new space draws inspiration from the Okanagan Valley as the restaurant will feature a globally inspired theme with the ever popular ‘farm to table’ idea.
The renovations will cost $9.4 million and the new restaurant will be designed by world class designers mackaywong and will consist of 263 seats.
Executive Chef Iain Rennie and Executive Sous Chef Paul Image will create each menu item with an inspiring and modern twist to be paired with the valley’s best wine. The space will also feature a wine bar and a Liquid Kitchen cocktail program with the freshest local ingredients and a selection of local craft beer.
“We intend to be the sought after gathering spot. With the talents of our food and beverage team and the energy driving from the hub of our newly designed lobby, our goal is on track,” said General Manager, Daniel Bibby.
The restaurant will also feature an impressive wine cellar and gathering room for private events fully catered by Chef Rennie. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in the specially prepared food while sampling some of the best wines from the region and the world. The unique room will provide an intimate setting for guests and be an excellent addition to the new restaurant and wine bar.
While renovations are undertaken, both Chef Rennie and Sous Chef Image are providing guests with breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Hanna’s Lounge and Grill.
The new restaurant and wine bar is expected to be completed and ready for its grand opening on June 1st.
