Best of Award of Excellence
Niagara Casinos Big California reds are a highlight of Ponte Vecchio’s wine program.
Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort features two Best of Award of Excellence–winning restaurants under food and beverage director Mario Prudente: 21 Clubsteak house and Ponte Vecchio. Taking its name from a historic bridge in Florence, Italy, the restaurant specializes in traditional Italian plates with a touch of global influence. Chef Alejandro Winzer serves surprises like grilled radicchio with house-made gnocchi and salsa verde with a Piedmontese rib steak. The 730 selections offer plenty of big, California reds to pair with the hearty dishes, plus aged Italian bottles going back to a Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 1981. The list is also strong in France and Canada, with 92 local wines all under $120.
