The design challenge for this Casino Rama Resort restaurant was to respectfully bridge the gap between design and mythology. Taking design cues from the reverence of the cedar tree by the First Nations people, the restaurant reflects all aspects of the tree. Branches float against the stone wall that leads to the private dining area, where the dappled green of the forest leaves creates an enclosure of calm renewal. The fireplace is a welcome invitation, which speaks to the warmth and power of the Creator.
